The moment my order went through, $.30 higher than the then current bid, the ask shot up past my bid. That happens a lot with options for some reason. In some cases the ask comes back down and your order is filled, other times, it stubbornly stays above your bid independently of the stock action. I expect it's some programming thing from a big options house, while they check stuff, and there are no ordinary retail guys selling the option requested. Just a theory. Interested if anyone knows the real score.
