The difference is, these are attacks on innocent civilians, and hostages. Show me a US training manual which advocates execution of hostages... or intentional killing of noncombatants... or shooting a 13-year old kid on his way into school.

The only thing I disagreed with in the previous post was the idea that one ought to have to "reevaluate" their motivation. After September 11, no one ought to have had any illusions which needed to be reevaluated.

Murder is murder, Carl. We all agree on this. When people are killed, whether it be one, a few, or thousands...one has to look at the suspect or suspects....and see what commonalities there are in them that relate to the groups, both of the murdered people, and those that did the killing of them.

In the 1st WTC bombing, there were commonalities of the suspected killers.
In the USS Cole, there were commonalities of the suspected killers.
In the 9/ll WTC, Pentagon and PA murders, there were commonalities of the suspected killers.

al-Qaeda certainly seems to be a commonality. This philosophy seems to be shared by many of the "terrorist" groups.

I don't believe any of the Western world has training manuals on how to kill civilians of ANY country.

I personally think the Americans are slow to anger. But most of the ones I talk to are now angry. And most of them support anything that can be done to rid ourselves of this scourge.

You are right Carl...I haven't read those sniper manuals, and probably won't. But thanks for linking them, as someone might.

With video training tapes like this, one really has to reevaluate the motivation of these murderers, and the ultimate philosophy of those who would put such evil into any 'training program.'
