I believe he's refering to Veterans Day, November 11, which is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice which ended World War I. In other countries (the Brits and Canadians among them), they call it Rememberance Day.

I'm almost positive that America started bombing Yugoslavia on the eleventh of Nov,. and I think that they bombed Iraq in 1990 on Nov 11.. I remember this because I found it to be quite diabolicalal the time.
