If we get the hell out of Israel and the M.E., and offer only arms-length UN-based arbitration and peacekeeping, they may disappear or blow themselves up, but they will not be successful in blaming the US for their problems. You are totally missing the point: these fanatics kill Americans and Jews because they are non-Muslims - infidels. Why did they blow up a French oil tanker, Australians, Germans and Brits dancing the night away? Because they are infidels too. There is no form of appeasement that will work: they need to be defeated. And by the way, if the US relinquishes its sovreignty in favour of the UN, then I quit and I am moving to the North Pole.
