I'm a believer in that saying "you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time."

Communism, in it's theoretical form is supposed to be democratic. What evidence is there that Ho Chi Minh was against democracy? I am no supporter of his because he was a communist. He probably didn't have the luxury of being able to choose though. He was that anti French.

If the USA was a real democracy, perhaps they could have made him an ally instead of an enemy. Read that sentence a few times to make sure you understand it.

i.e. perhaps some of the error lay on our own doorsteps.
