nextrade,re:"Realestate". If the Fed saved that 'LongTerm
CapitailCrap', one can be assured the 'realEstate' is
a bubble guarrante by the FED well beyond one can remember
who is the current AG and FED policy makers are. This
bubble is as safe as the FED. The FED cannot afford to
drop this ball.
No need to rush to get the 'low rate', the FED will drop
it to close to ZERO, if not negative.

Appraisals, who needs 'em ! <G>

Appraisal Alternative

ABN AMRO Mortgage Group Inc., Ann Arbor, Mich., will use a new appraisal alternative product created by Fidelity National Information Solutions, Santa Barbara, Calif., to replace traditional full appraisals on many of its first-mortgage originations. The new product, called Collateral Valuation Insurance, combines automated estimates of property value with an inspection of the property and valuation insurance. Initial values are delivered within minutes, complete insured reports in three days or less. The insurance coverage is offered through Fidelity National Insurance Co. and underwritten by a double-A rated insurer. William Newman, executive vice president of AAMG, said this product fits into the company's OneFee initiative, under which AAMG guarantees the interest rate and allows the borrower to pay a single fee to cover the settlement services.
