I don't think so, but we'll see what Solon says. He has been trying to make the case that taxes are somehow "voluntary" because we don't (most of us) reach for our shotguns when the tax collector comes around. That's irrelevant. If such an argument is valid, then there are no such things as "laws".

I think the media are carrying too much information about the specific detail of the investigation.
Exactly my feeling. They have publicized numerous pieces of information that made me think "Don't you realize you're telling this monster what to or not to do?" The use of those special military planes should not have been publicized. Why else did he move 100 miles from Washington? OTOH, the gov't is really at fault there because they released the info to the press. Probably to make people feel their gov't was protecting them. It had the effect of making it more difficult to catch the guy, though.

OTOH, I often have the feeling that the press is doing its best to get the 1st Amendment repealed.
