Falwell and His 'Christian Right' Have It Wrong

by Rev. Jan Linn et al

Enough is enough. When Jerry Falwell declares on national television that Mohammed was a terrorist and Christians believe there will be no peace in Jerusalem until the second coming of Jesus, the time for silence on such religious arrogance is over.

Put bluntly, the Christian right that Falwell represents is neither.

It is not Christian in attitude or actions because both represent what Jesus spoke and acted against. Those who lead the Christian right are the Pharisees of today's Christianity. They play the role of moral and thought police, condemning to hell anyone whose actions they consider wrong and whose views are different from their own. Their religiosity runs a mile wide but their spirituality is an inch deep.

Thomas,

You got it backwards...the reason I spend my time presenting the facts to you is out of love, not hate! I know I need some fine tuning, because my sinful human nature takes it one step further than it needs to be, but it is still the truth I present. And the reason why I spend my time doing it is out of love.

You know the grief I have about taking time away from my family to do such long and hard research. I been studying many religions now (basically other then my birth religion) since 1991. And for what, to get in to disagreements and arguments, when I could be hitting a soccer ball more with one of my kids, or spending quality time at a park or something of that nature, instead of typing on a keyboard. But for some reason, God has called me to talk to people like you, to tell you the truth, and maybe to show you the light, if you can open your heart and mind. But you are a perfect example of how I might be wasting my time, rather than using my time more wisely (I sure hope not though!). I pray one day, the time I spent with you will not be a waste. And I march on, for God...

You see, sometimes the truth hurts! But truth must prevail. The reason why you see it as hate is because you are blind. The truth is against you, so you see only negative and as someone that shows it to you as someone that hurts you and is against you. I am just trying to show you the light. You need to be aware that I much rather talk about God's truth, verses a religion against God. But most people don't want to know about God's truth. They blindly believe what their parents or families have told them, and do not want to know anything else. Well, in my opinion, everyone must do their homework before they profess a faith, with an open heart and mind. Because if what they profess is blind faith, you can find out your faith is in something very evil. Look what God says about the persecution I face:

Matthew 5:11
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
(Whole Chapter: Matthew 5 In context: Matthew 5:10-12)

Matthew 5:12
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
(Whole Chapter: Matthew 5 In context: Matthew 5:11-13)

Matthew 5:44
But I tell you: Love your enemies [5:44 Some late manuscripts enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you] and pray for those who persecute you,

I hope when I expose the truth to people, someone might say, "well, if this is not the God's truth that I believe, what is?". It happens infrequently, but it does happen.

Hey, I might not be the best deliverer of the truth, but it is the truth I deliver, so help me...

God Bless,
IGIT
