C'mon now, join us Rustic Bumpkins and become the 52nd state.

I'm all for Britain dumping Europe and becoming the newest state of the USA. Tony Blair can become state governor, and we can sell the Royal family to Disneyland <ggg>

We'll call it "The State of Britain" to avoid mix up's with other East Coast States. The USA economy will get an instant boost from the requirement for brand new left hand drive vehicles.

I mentioned this idea several times. It would be worth it just by dropping 17.5% tax on everything.

Various important matters would need to be settled up front first though. Like how to pronounce and spell certain words. I'm negotiable on several USA spellings and pronunciations. Aloo minum is OK, Potatus is OK, ..."erbs" noooo! the word is "hhhherbs" even in the East end of London where you trip over dropped h's

>>Nowhere is the print media more reviled than in the UK, where only 20% in the survey expressed trust, compared with 44% in the EU as a whole.<<

I can't tell you what a relief it is to hear this. My respect for the British people has just increased exponentially.
