Good Morning Jeff:

I'm coming over to the side of a local sicko. (from Muslim terrorist)
I live just a few miles from where this is happening. The first day everything clustered in a small area. Then he leads police as much as 150 miles down 95 South. Now back to the original neighborhood.
There's no way to see the guy, it's still pitch black at 5:55 AM. I think the police need to focus around the area where he shot this morning. I think it's possible he did not even need to get into a car, he just walked into his house.
Or, he could have a car parked nearby, pop the trunk, drop in gun and then walk several or more blocks to his house.

Regards,

BobP

Thompson Center makes (very neat) single shot hunting and target pistols. I'd think with a 10" barrel it could be carried under a jacket, in a folded up newspaper, gym bag, whatever.

I'd bet the guy isn't driving a white van.

More details on the letter. Interesting to note the sniper wants money but gives authorities unrealistic amount of time to find it before he kills again. Seems the killers aren't really interested in stopping, just adding more confusion to the mix.

Details of Apparent Sniper Message Leaked to Media
foxnews.com

Someone claiming to be the sniper has called police at
least twice, the New York Post reported, the first time
alerting police to the message found at the Ashland, Va.,
shooting scene. This message was a three-page letter
tacked to a tree behind the Ponderosa steak house that the
victim was leaving, the paper reported.

A senior law enforcement official speaking to The
Associated Press on condition of anonymity said the message
suggested the killer wants several million dollars.

Two other law enforcement sources told the AP the letter
also contained information that police interpreted to be a
vague threat to children. One of the sources, who also
spoke on condition of anonymity, said the letter
was "lengthy."

The letter demanded money and warned that the attacks
would resume unless police met a specified deadline,

the New York Post and New York Daily News added.

Sources told the New York Post that the money demand led
them to believe that terrorists were not involved. ABC News
reported that the deadline had passed by the time the FBI
opened the letter.
