you know me -- I tend to be more aggressive and have to readjust sometimes -- your approach sounds reasonable to me -- winning "slowly" is always better <ng>

one thing: it is getting easier for me to get out of the way when I've been shown to be wrong -- that has helped me a great deal in the last year. Need to learn to do it on the long side, too <ng>

earlie - To continue along your theme, IMO this thing is waiting on a Thanksgiving shopping spree that in turn would be expected to carry into Christmas. I think it's a pipe dream.

Only the brain dead could believe that corporate capex is coming back inside the next 10 weeks, so Joe Retail is going to be asked to carry the ball here again, but Joe has been doing triple duty in the backfield for a while now and is currently sporting a few injuries in his pocket book.

Once we get nearer to game day and the bulls are again reminded that Joe Retail hasn't magically recovered from his torn ACL, two separated shoulders and a dose of the flu, it should become more apparent to them that Joe Retail won't be on his best game this fall.

By then the weather should also have started to muck up housing and construction, which has been among the few bright spots by most criteria. And once real estate rolls over from this top that it is making here, I expect a very difficult winter
