My brother went to Jamaica last year. The resort was lovely. Of course, most people lived in hovels, and were constantly trying to grab your bags to get tips, or sell you junk, because they are so poor........

One of my professors spent a lot of time in Vietnam to do her PhD. She said it was a wonderful experience. She had expected some hostility, but experienced none.
