The battery on my older Dell notebook finally fried itself after about 3 years of heavy use. (This is a couple of months ago.) I went to their website. Signed in with my email address and password. They know who I am and what products I already own. I requested support for the old dead notebook, and it took me directly to a page from which I could get support or order accessories. I picked a refurbished battery from the available options (they don't have much in the way of accessories after more than 3 years, but they do have batteries). The cart already has my name, address and other info. I just had to supply a current CC number and expiration date. The battery arrived 2 days later with an instruction sheet telling me, among other things, how to charge it the first time. That's the difference. mg

Michael (I'm close to selling me last small block (10K) ----- hey,, you cannot do that! Not YOU! Keep a few just to maintain interest and come here once in awhile--- or trade it which will help keep your interest.. ;-] ---- cannot think of this thread w/o your input.
