It has that idiotic, "I live in a schizoid dreamworld" quality that tends to characterize home- grown nut jobs who went on the fritz once and for all, perhaps after getting fired as a pump jockey, or something like that......

MSNBC is reporting that the killer asked for money to be wired into a *domestic* bank account

So the guys has an account at the First National Bank of Stupidity ?

Now lets talk about the police -- if they have the account -- then don't they have an airtight lead on who the guy is ?

Chris

Good afternoon Jeff, all.

Which makes me wonder how on earth this guy could seriously think he's going to make money from all of this. He certainly isn't going to withdraw $10M in cash...Strange.

Very. And it makes me wonder, simultaneously, if - as we previously hypothesized - the goal is not only a tactical, but also a procedural, test run of sorts.

Perhaps it doesn't matter whether or not he's able to withdraw the $10M in funds: instead, it could be that there are questions he (and, if applies, the individuals backing him) seek(s) to have answered in order to better coordinate the next, or future, rounds of terrorism:

Will U.S. authorities, after this many casualties, knuckle under and give in to financial demands?

If not, how many will it take?

Lol, if true, it reminds me of the incompetent bank robber who told the teller to transfer the money to his account in another branch of the same bank.
