Rocky;

Just remember that Mr. Ballmer was talking about a blip in earning for one quarter, whereas Mr. Howe is talking about the ability to prosper during a recession\tech depression that has lasted 2+ years.

Now, of course, you can respond and say that all that success in the result of monopolistic practices and has nothing to do with hard work, persistence, and a dedication to investing in the future so that software can continue to help people realize their potential...

Just remember that none of us will soon forget the 180 degree turn your opinions took when things got tough in the oracle and sun camps and you decided to invest in Microsoft instead of bash it. Arguably the best Jekyll and Hyde I have ever seen...Think about it Rocky...

Please name me one quarter where MSFT reported better than expected earnings and did not tell the public to expect less in the next quarter. It is SOP for MSFT.

<< if you calculate out the effect of msft's new pricing model into earnings you would not be so giddy >>

Sure I would. Nothing that I said would change based on backing out the modest amount of revenue that was alloted to Q1 due to the new pricing model. Pricing model or not, MSFT is in an awesome position and almost nobody else in the tech world can say this.
