yeah anything requiring installing cards or modems in a PC is a non-starter imo. Dell has to come up with something like they had with AOL, modem installed and an icon on the desktop for the majors.

i read somewhere that DSL was offered for FREE in some city/community in the south last year, and only 29% of the potential subscribers actually signed up. and it was FREE.

i, personally, would pay $100/month for a broadband connection. it is worth so much to me. luckily my service provider doesn't know that so i only have to pay $40 and i get 256k up 1.2m down :)
