I believe he wanted it to end long before this but, like Rodney Dangerfield ( poor comparison maybe ) " couldn't get no respect ".

I don't think he would have just stopped at the rest stop if he REALLY wanted not to get caught( he was pretty sly), but it was a great job that the car was indentified and they handled it well.
