Why would I want to spend time on a board like that? And why would I want to be the lone dissenter in the "Brinker is always wrong" club? No thanks. I much prefer the level playing field here at SI, where management doesn't care about Bob Brinker one way or the other. Suite101.com management doesn't care about brinker one way of the other either. I am a volunteer there with no financial connection to the company. They sold it to a private group awhile back. You seemed to delight in posting on the censored Justajerk thread where David Korn was banned and posts critical of Brinker were deleted. I guess your moral compus only works when it suits you.Right all along? Uh, earth to Kirk, weren't you one of the ones criticizing Brinker for going 60% cash in Q1 of 2000? Yes, I was right and I am darn proud of it. I said then and I say today that the problem with market timing is not that a specific call might be right, but that even if you are right, you usually blow it on the other end. Brinker PROVED me right with his QQQ call. Aren't you the one who wrote that EVERYTHING Brinker has done since then has been a disaster? And you moan about others misrepresenting your words? I am on record as saying Brinker has done about as good as doing nothing.... the buy and holders whom he makes fun of. The only difference is buy and holders have a clear asset allocation while followers of Brinkers can have several and still consider themselves "following his advice"... His P1 is listed as 20% equities now but he says to go to 35% if you are a new person in index funds, but if you are fully invested then it is too late to sell. Three possible asset allocations for a simple P1 investor and that is before you apply the QQQ advice! Anyway, I said many times on my site and here that people are fine to follow him as even with his sometimes lousey advice like TEFQX and QQQ, most do worse on their own. For example, I have a good buddy who is now broke as he would not stop using margin despite my warnings for years how dangerous it is. He made and lost over 2 Million twice now.. He would do far better to follow Brinker. The last time I posted on your Brinker thread I was attacked personally and my position was misrepresented. The same happens to me when I post an unpopular view. Only difference is I don't feel a need to lie about others after it happens.
