Thoughtful thought. If we understood, could we predict and prevent? Perhaps, but proclaiming this guy a genius was silly babble, IMO; that line of thinking isn't indicative that our experts will EVER understand the motivation behind hate(it isn't likely compatible with high intelligence, IMO, or at least existing intelligence isn't functioning when hatred takes over- and substituting love here may be fine!). Muslim extremism appears to have motivated this guy. We've got the best of both theories in him...homegrown nut and Muslim Extremist Terrorist at once. Hate to be redundant, but the Baltimore guy who was shot by his girlfriend may well be the same. Reported here was the blurb that this guy was stopped in Baltimore recently. Connection? Sad reality may be that other home grown Americans may be motivated by Extremist Islamic beliefs to follow this fellow's lead.
