I beg to differ. Long gone are the days when such oppression could triumph, for two reasons:

1) Atrocities at one end of the world are opposed globally, thanks to high-speed communication and increased awareness of human rights.

2) The oppressors are no longer technologically so superior to the "natives" so as to appear magical.

So they can either keep dreaming, or have what limited state they can get.

My guess is that they will "keep dreaming", which is an essential ingredient to any story of independence.

They will always be economically dependent upon Israel, and they will never be allowed to conduct an independent security or foreign policy.

As many other occupiers and colonizers found out throughout history, there ain't no such thing as "never" in the long run for a group of people fighting for their independence. You might be next to learn this bitter lesson.
