Charles, The market didn't know MSFT would have 50% growth each year, that's why it would give it a PE of 40 or whatever and than they'd double EPS and ta da, the stock price would double. If the market was dead certain that MSFT would grow at 50% all through the 1990's I can certainly guarantee that it would have gone up faster and earlier than it did.

Charles;

In all the banter back and forth, you have misconstrued one crucial piece of information. Ballmer said that *Office* would grow by 9% year or year so that it is a 20 billion dollar business in 8 years. Everything you are saying now about P\E, etc makes me think you're talking the whole company..
