How anyone could turn my contention that some government monies should be given to the arts into a treatise on "The road to Hell..." and Pol Pot amazes me. I've stated my view that the arts are of extreme importance to government, to the species, and I'm very pleased to see some of my tax dollars going to support them. You fail to understand that it's not the amount of art created, but the amount of art seen by the public that makes art a powerful humanizing influence. I'm glad the United States government understands what you and JXM don't.
