I agree with Charles, which is a rare event. What kind of management would put the ability to manipulate numbers as a substitute for achievement.

Grapevine says, order books were closed for FY 02 about a week or so ago. Apparently something to do with new accounting rules.

It would then make sense to defer orders (and make sure a sales rep got commission) until FY 03, which was at that time a couple weeks away.
