It is not bad management to push sales into the next quarter if you have met your goals. If you report extraordinary earnings it raises the bar for the next quarter. No one knows how Christmas sales will go so a little insurance doesn't hurt.

If th story is true, it is surprising only in that revenues are predicted to be light. But in any case revenues in the coming fiscal year are more important than in this one, which is soon to be of historical interest only.

I dont recollect saying anything about "management".

The "person on the ground" can very easily defer an order for a week if he/she chooses to.
