How could anyone assume no black people read this thread? Current movies, current literature, deal with these issues. Should we not discuss them? I could be black and make the comments I did after reading Safire's book. Perhaps it is bad karma to think that if you don't discuss something, it will go away?

Jeez, Condor, this thread has always posted like there were no Arabs or Muslims reading it, or if they were, they oughta just accept what Islamofascist scum they all are. Why should it be any different with blacks? Maybe Perle has a plan for the black population, after he's done with the Arabs. Harry Belafonte at the head of the list, no doubt. Or who knows, maybe Powell is actually at the head of the list for alleged past disloyalty to the Perle Plan.

It has been beaten to death.. and in part its because its rare to see non-blacks accuse other non-blacks of being pawns of some minority group... That's why I find black denigrating other blacks so repugnant... Hawk@'noughsaid.. let'sgetbacktoFA.com

Well, I don't know about you, but I have no idea whether I am part black or not. I know for a fact that I am not WASP in any way, shape or form. I know for a fact that my family claims to be part Cherokee, which is, in some parts of the South, code for part black. I do know that in parts of the US, being part Native American is no better than being part black. I've been the butt of jokes for men from the West and Southwest, calling me "chief," despite the fact that my coloring is fair skin, dark hair, dark eyes. I know for a fact that many people called "black" in New Orleans have lighter skin than I do. So, your experiences of race may be uncomplicated, but my own are rather complicated.
