He probably didn't see the whole exchange. Considering what some other people have called her, your statement about her was very mild considering what she said to you(imo). But Solon should be encouraged to go after the people who have really vilified her and give them a lecture. It won't do any good, but it would show a real commitment to the issue. I have seen her called some really nasty names, and not by you.

I am afraid you are missing my point. You know that she is unable to challenge your interpretation or conclusion; and there is no doubt that your comment is derogatory. Ergo--a regrettable comment--especially coming from one who professes a regard for decency and fairness. Your comment at the time might have indeed been mild. Your comment as a back-shooter is disparaging... For what it is worth: all her pm's to me were cordial and balanced. I could characterize some of her public posts otherwise, perhaps. But I will not make derogatory remarks on her person, in a public venue--without her being capable of defending against my assertions. It is only common decency...nothing special, really...
