Good. I've passed on all the suggestions. Neocon suggested The Chosen, Chaim Potek, and though it's a bit askew from the theme suggested, the father being the one with the psychopathology (rationalized as religious (a rationalization participated in by the author)), it can be made to fit, and would be fun to write about. It's the one I'd chose. But the girl has many choices, now. I'm going back to work. Obviously I'm missing lots of interesting conversation. Everybody be quiet, for heaven's sake.
