<<No one ever said mining was an easy business.>> Neither is anything else in today's economy. The sole reason some funds & individuals own shares of any company is their history of dividend payment. If the dividends of all mining companies were diverted into exploration & development share prices would suffer perhaps even driving lower credit ratings. Excessive hedging might return & with it an ever lower gold & share price. Some marketing is also needed in every business.
