But some here don't understand that people have the same legal rights and protections whether they are on the phone, a BB such as this..or walking out of Walgreens. If someome stalks you or threatens to kill you, you don't get them "suspended" for 3 days. You get them behind bars where they belong. Unfortunately, many parents are allowing their kids to think that the phone or the internet is just "fantasy" or "virtual". We had a case recently where someone came to Canada to rape a teenage girl after deceiving her on the internet. Some people think that internet behaviour is outside the law, and that there are no legal boundaries or Constitutional rights. That, of course, is an artificial stance in most cases, and is usually indicative of secondary motives...

Agreed. We can be a fractious bunch, but we're seldom boring. Several people who have claimed they were gone for good have found it sufficiently stimulating that they swallow their objections and return for the discussions. Or in case, return to throw brickbats.
