NO DIFFERENCE. People on EMAIL don't know your SI handle (or anything else about you) unless you give it to them.

And as I said...

For pities sake. Most emails uses an alias. Many SI accounts do not. This is just red herring foolishness...email people are not subjected to public interaction in the same way as SI acccount holders. You generally choose EMAIL correspondents one at a time, and you can cancel any mistakes. Email is predominantly a private and autocratic forum...SI is predominantly a public and democratic forum.
