you don't know what you're talking about. there was never any indication reagan had alzheimers until years after he left office.

In fact there were many. Several people who met them near the end of his second term thought he was mentally retarded. Only later when the public acknowledgment was made of his disease did these people realize what had happened. Several such episodes were relayed by the press at the time of the public announcement of the disease.
