I hadn't thought about it.

And, of course, one must go beyond professions of change to examine whether actual changes would occur. I'm sure some people would say change would happen. But this thread is rife with people making statements that they soon repudiate, in word or deed.

An apology is an admission of wrong doing AND contrition. If it was sincere it would obviously change a lot. If it was insincere it would also change a lot by bringing a whole new awareness and dynamic to the dispute.
