Re: What companies/industries, both in the US and worldwide, do you see will have both employment and financial growth for the next 5-10 years?

I don't know about employment growth at all. Regarding growth of sales and profits, I feel that 5-10 years is an unrealistic time frame, as nobody can claim to guess what the better sectors will be in a decade - we think biotech is the edge now, but how about nanotech that will surely become very important in a couple of years?

For the coming 1-2 years, I like software entertainment (video game) stocks. Their market is growing very fast and is nowhere near maturity.

In tech, computers are commodity, telecom investments are dead for another year or two, so if I will invest in tech (and that will be next year, probably), it will be in biotech instruments - that is, not the actual companies finding the drugs because that is too risky but the companies who provide the methods and equipment to them for their research, like Affymetrix.
