No, their descendants haven't forgotten. We remember that the original voting rights were for landowners only.

There have been many changes now...including the right of women to vote.

However, I still believe one should have to show proof of identity to get a voters registration card, and carry that same ID to the polls with them.

They [their descendants] have forgotten their slogan. And a lot more besides ... sadly...
