Emile, I find it somewhat hard to believe that you expect others to follow your "spiritual path". You espouse a very racist philosophy, and I am not just referring to your opinions about Jews. Of course you won't comment on your failed political career, but your very public comments during that time would reveal you to be anything but a sincerely religious person. Your views on religion lead you down a path of hatred and divisiveness. In my opinion that is the furthest thing from God's intentions. Mark Silvers

Why do you keep saying Jews learn the Christian Church is evil? Is it your own thoughts of repentence at the millions of Jews and others that have been victims of hatred such as yours throughout the centuries. Perhaps you can not fathom that humans are diverse creatures and do not all think alike. Perhaps you would want to see little robots stamped out that only believe what you would have people believe. Yours is the Auschwitz of the mind emile. You build razor wire fences with machine guns trained at anyone who does not believe like you do. If Jews believe in God, and Christians believe in God, is there a difference between Gods? If you believe in an ultimate creator of the universe, and so do Jews, are there two different creators? Over the many years you have been on SI, I have seen post after post beg you to get counseling for your hatred. When enough people state the same thing, perhaps you should think there may be something to it. I request you get the counseling you so desperately require to help calm your flames of hatred.

There is a great, basic contradiction in the teachings of Jesus. Jesus was one of the first great teachers to proclaim the basic principle of individualism -- the inviolate sanctity of man's soul, and the salvation of one's soul as one's first concern and highest goal; this means -- one's ego and the integrity of one's ego. But when it came to the next question, a code of ethics to observe for the salvation of one's soul -- (this means: what must one do in actual practice in order to save one's soul?) -- Jesus (or perhaps His interpreters) gave men a code of altruism, that is, a code which told them that in order to save one's soul, one must love or help or live for others. This means, the subordination of one's soul (or ego) to the wishes, desires or needs of others, which means the subordination of one's soul to the souls of others. This is a contradiction that cannot be resolved. This is why men have never succeeded in applying Christianity in practice, while they have preached it in theory for two thousand years. The reason of their failure was not men's natural depravity or hypocrisy, which is the superficial (and vicious) explanation usually given. The reason is that a contradiction cannot be made to work.
