Too broad a brush. The Nation of Islam crazies may think they are Muslims, but Muslims don't agree. Why isn't enough to point out that Nation of Islam is an anti-American and anti-Semitic cult that is now borrowing homocidal mania from the Islamists?

<The latest is "Lets not identify the sniper and upset the Muslims.">

Bill, in all honesty, I'd say "the guy's an asshole, and I dont care what religion he follows - he just needs to be tried and brought to justice".

cheers, kumar

Some musings on the reporting of the collapse of the Israeli unity government:

The Oct 30 NY Times editorial was good for a giggle. They praised Ben Eliezer's stand on principle (no Israeli commentator of whatever political stripe thinks principle had anything to do with it) and hoped the Labor Party would now have a chance to do great things for the peace process. Lofty sentiments indeed, considering that the peace process is dead as a doornail and the Labor Party will have its hands full just trying not to become an ex-party in the next elections. Its chances of regaining power are nil as things stand now.

The BBC likes reporting on phantoms. After rather gleefully reporting on the collapse of Sharon's government, musing whether he would try to "soldier on" or call elections, they asked several Israel commentators, in perfect seriousness, "Do you think this will hurt the peace process?" to which each replied with some variant of, "No. You can't hurt a corpse. There is no peace process." Doesn't make sense until you remember how often Yasser Arafat calls for a renewal of the peace process. Always enough time in a BBC report to imply that only Israeli intransigence stands in the way of peace and harmony in the Mideast.

Didn't necessarily agree with where Coulter was going at the beginning of that article.. But she sure hit the mark towards the end...

The guy's name is Muhammed.. He changed his name, apparently legally.. He changed his religion.. apparently willingly... 'nough said..

But I think she trying to allege a lot more than is obvious about the importance of his religion in these attacks..

I guess we'll have to see the letter he wrote before we'll know.

They should be more curious as to just where this guy will be able to receive a fair trial.. I was talking to a acquaintance of mine who's a DC undercover detective.. He said there's no way he can get a fair trial in the DC area, not even in the black community.. If anything, he says the black community is more PO'd than the non-black..
