Too bad really because is wasn't mean to be racist at all.
Doesn't have to be to offend PC types.

The name "Stanford Indians: wasn't meant to offend Native Americans. But the PC crowd (few of whom are Native Americans) decided it did and Stanford was forced to change it.

And who said Stanford wasn't insulting East Indians, anyway? :-)
