We left in late morning. It had been several years since we took the RTE. 50 way, and I was shocked by the buildup, and number of lights. We arrived at Skyland Lodge after 2pm (it used to take about 2 1/2 hours from Annapolis, so we failed to cut off an hour we had expected to. Lunch was nice, but service was slow, and we walked around a little. Then we decided to head for Front Royal, to catch 66, and about a third of the way down it, caught a traffic jam that I never figured out, then another later on. We got back home about 7:30. I had anticipated getting back home before 6, originally, and therefore thought of ringing you on the cell phone about an hour before hitting your area. Seeing how late we were running, we decided not......
