I agree that one should avoid litigious people. I also agree that pursuing litigation can be frustrating and counterproductive for the litigants.

My own experience in collection work is that some people won't pay unless you take them to court, but many of those will pay once you do.

If they don't pay, it's only worthwhile if they owe a lot of money, and have a lot of money, or property.
