Rumor has it that Virginia state courts may get first crack at the snipers. That means either Fairfax, Prince William, Spotsylvania or Hanover, whichever has the best evidence.

I practice in both Fairfax and Prince William, and the prosecutors in both are very good, but I think the one in Fairfax, Bob Horan, is better. He has a very good track record at getting the death penalty.

I assume they'd get public defenders.
