and at 65 MPH rolled her over.

You were very lucky to get out of that in one piece. A single telegraph pole could have changed everything. As has happened many times in the past.

Some of us are lucky. I remember leaving the road once, watching my vehicle travelling backwards at an excess of 80mph, with the backside (gas tank area) leaving a 100+ yard stream of sparks from scraping off a stone wall. They seemed to light up the whole sky. A Saturday night not to forget, It eventually spun round again facing forward in the opposite lane. Fortunately the road was empty. -ng-

Man, I hope you're not mailing that from the fishers' heaven.

Sorry for the horse, but pleased to hear you got through unscathed. If one ignores the "Who ARE you ?" question - a sure sign of you having touched the borderline we'll all cross some day ...

Hello Pezz, thankfully you are OK, else the thread would be less one important contributor.

<<Who ARE you ?>>

Well, I had always figured that I am one of many disembodied messangers who will stay with this thread, participating in all the happenings of this very strange (coming from me, that is saying something:0) community, celebrating new births, commiserating in losses, talking money, cars, girls, and wars.

Now, having lost the jeep, will you consider <<HSBC 'buy' logic>>?

Hello Pezz, Today's Report: Purchased large tranche (4x existing position) of Tom.com at HK$ 1.93/1.94 (HK.8001 baby.boom.com.hk , and quote.bloomberg.com )

because of need to fund Christmas expenses.

Tom.com was originally launched as an Internet play with an amorphous business plan, collected a few billion HK Dollars during IPO and never got around to spending the $.

The company then changed business plan and started buying media property in China/Hong Kong.

Pezz, if you'd been talking on the cellphone instead of doing the mindless job of merely steering, which can't keep even a half-witted person awake as it is so tedious, you'd have stayed awake and not crashed.

I recommend always talking on a cellphone while driving. The conversation stimulates your brain and ensures you remain mentally alert.

There's a Mindless Zombie here, Message 18193848 Schmandel [obviously a Nazi with a name like that], who would ban you using your phone. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance against the Nazis of the world, who will tell your what you can and can't do, even if they kill you in the process, which they will do if you don't do what they say.

Next time, MAKE CELLPHONE CALLS while on long boring trips.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report: decided to exercise Cresud (CRESY) and IRSA (IRS) subscription rights to convertible debt 8% + stock warrant, thus adding to Argentine real estate exposure.

Feeling good about Tom.com share purchase that has gone up 3% in 24 hours, climbing a wall of worries.

YTD net asset gain now stand at 6.81%, due to currency allocation, recent China/HK share purchases and paper gold purchases.

Netting out my real estate and bond allocations (totalling approx. 40% of assets) as they are valued at lower of cost/market (market is higher than cost at this moment), my currency, stock and gold positions gained 10.32% YTD. Not too shabby, compared whatever is out there. At such pleasurable moments, I get suspicious and look for hidden bombs.

Hi Pezz - just reading through the thread and read your account of your wreck. I am very glad that you survived your accident with "nary a scratch on your body." Hooray!

Sorry about your Jeep.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report: I purchased a tranche of NTT Docomo in Japan ( NTT Docomo quote.yahoo.co.jp and in USA quote.bloomberg.com
Option pcquote.com ) at Yen 230,000 per share:0( using part of the proceeds from the Japanese Yen loan.

I figured

(a) Japan loaned me the money at effectively negative interest

(b) Japan may succeed in triggering the mother of all stagflations

(c) Japan may get the market over 10,000 before fiscal year ends in March

(d) miracle may happen:0)
