Hi KLP - I have doctors in my family, too, as well as nurses. My perception is that the biggest stumbling block is the paperwork involved in getting reimbursed. I heard Ted Kennedy (I know, I know) arguing that 25% of the cost of health care is the paperwork involved in getting reimbursed. So what health care really needs is a good IT revolution. I handle med mal cases -- a lot of what I see is what I call a cluster**** due to an inability of the health care providers to filter through the paperwork.
