Yes, I know what you mean about the Martian thing. I prefer to think those people are great thinkers and are pondering a complex mathematical problem or poetic allusion to Horace. But it's more likely that the theme to the Looney Tunes cartoon series is running on a continuous loop.

My doctor is big on saying a person has diabetes. I sat and waited for hours for getting my blood sampled. He kept saying and I'm sure writing down, that I had it under control from the medicine even though I wasn't taking any.

Things I wanted fixed he didn't give a shit about.
