To: Tadsamillionaire who wrote (19649 ) 11/4/2002 1:14:57 AM From: Richnorth Respond to of 27666 In case you have forgotten, Jesse Jackson, a married man, has lost all credibility in consequence of his affair with a woman. Before that affair became known, Jesse Jackson was a champion of many minority causes on his own volition and when called by "underprivileged" minority groups to help them. The writer of the email seems to have forgotten that it was Clinton who gave the blacks a great boost, self-esteem and respectability by giving them opportunities that the writer takes exception with. In other words, Clinton made possible the things that the writer of that email dislikes and/or disagrees with. So, in a sense the complainer was barking up the wrong tree. However, what he wrote rang a responsive chord in many folks who don't know things better and who just respond to knee-jerk reaction. Clinton even went out of his way to point out that President Jefferson had a black mistress and several children by her and that their descendants are living among us. Even Clinton himself was rumored to have fathered a black child --- a son said to be living in Australia! (In case you haven't heard it yet, there are whites who say, "When you've got black, you don't go back....."). No wonder we have so very many black Americans in America, eh? <ggg> Yea, Clinton was responsible for a number of ills that America faced in his time and even today. Yet he was hailed and praised as a great president while he was in office. Again, in case you have forgotten, there are many folks who still want him to be President but unfortunately for them, the law does not allow him to run for a third term for their sake. How was it possible for minority groups to say and do the sort of things that rile so many folks? Clinton, of course. He was such a very politically-correct and extremely popular fella!!! It is no exaggeration to say that Clinton made 9/11 possible. I have already said this in an earlier post. Like it or not, it is a fact that the majority of Americans tend to root for the underdog! I am not surprised that the claims for privileges, fairness and justice of most of the minority groups, from within and without, that so rile the writer of that email, actually do have the tacit approval and support from lotsa' underdog-lovers! What has brought about all that whining and complaining? The answer lies in September 11th 2001! And the very many underdog-lovers in N. America!!! Oh well, that is the price we all have to pay for living in a "democratic" country. Because, in a democracy, the majority has the privilege to be wrong! <ggg> The anger, outrage and mass-hysteria that tsunamied the #1 nation in the world, in the aftermath of 9/11, has caused all hitherto suppressed emotions against blacks and minority groups to surface. As someone put it, "All the gloves are now off....." Another said, "Vietnam made me feel guilty. But now I am proud I blasted our enemies 30 years ago."
