No I am not a lawyer. The subject was not "humanitarianism" as far as I could see. I only stated the validity of Bilow's remark that the US has no real reasons for its support of Israel and showed the invalidity of frankw1900's response to him, saying that US should support Israel because they are "modern" vs the Arabs whom he finds "archaic".

There are of course also humanitarian reasons why the US should not unconditionally support a country who engages in blatant expansionist policies, carries out brutal occupation and daily humiliation of an entire nation. However, I felt that frankw1900 was not ready to hear about them and just tried to show him the invalidity of his argument that the US should support Israel because they are "modern".
