I 'like' some, and 'dislike' some. This is very different from "religion sucks". <I am trying to point out that as a WHOLE all of these are very flawed systems and also can't possibly be true, but they may have some teachings which are insightful.> I dont' know what you mean by "systems" but all political systems are flawed as well... and "can't be true" makes no sense... what do you mean 'religious systems can't be true"?? Religions ARE. Aren't there truths and falsehoods told every second of every day by everyone... Is "no religion" true??? If there IS a god, then THAT is false, no? <Religions are at bottom about serving gods. > And that's YOUR belief... which begs the question what is god? If god is in everything, religion says serve all people, beings, and the planet. If you think god is some old man with a beard you think people serve him. You of course have your own picture of what god is and so think religious people are "serving" that "god" in your head and have an opinion about. THAT is a giant leap of FAITH... sounds religious to me. <That's why many don't classify Buddhism as a religion. > Which shows that there is basic disagreement even about what everyone is disagreeing about. BTW, most all scholars classify it as one of the major relgions. As I said,IMO those with strong opinions negatively about 'religion' in general are actually opinionated about THEIR perception of what religion is. Interestingly, they can be as indignant and close minded as the opposite folk. DAK
