I don't watch that much tv. However in the past couple of weeks, I have seen news blips on the Mathew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker's baby several times. That means it must have been presented much more. I watch because I think there must be something very significant about this birth. I know the actors are famous (though I haven't seen their movies) but lots of famous people have babies. I haven't figured out what is special about this kid.

What am I missing here?

According to the tv ads we have the worst bunch of thugs in Colorado running for office this year. The ads keep telling me to call the guy(s) up and give them a piece of my mind.

What no one really understand is the whole idea of freedom of religion is just as much freedom from religion.

People who want to replace God at every step of the way have an ulterior motive of substituting their idea of right and wrong which is equally bad as a state religion.

I don't want to be embraced by God anymore than I want to be embraced by government.

kholt believes that a group of scientists operating under some mysterious consensus should be in charge, Solon is bitter because God is not quite his idea of Santa Claus and poor X just doesn't have a clue...

Christianity and Judaism for the most part can live with the U.S. Constitution, the precepts of Islam make it very clear they don't believe in the separation of religion and state affairs.

I do believe the world would be a better place if women were more or less in charge and then we could be retired to stud services.

I'll read your Seattle times article later...

I would never say that. I won't say the pledge either.

The Scouts should have the same freedoms any other private organization has, that uses school facilities from time to time. I don't know the law on that, but whatever it is, it should be followed to the letter. I personally think they are rotten if they want to exclude children for that reason, just as I think they are rotten for excluding homosexuals. But my opinions about the scouts have nothing to do with the way I think they should be treated under the law.
