Please, Nadine, there is point I'd like to know better. It is said in n°2 that it is the US that saved Arafat in Beyrout 82, and I've always heard it was a French policy from beginning to end.

My understanding is that it was an American plan all the way, Philip Habib's to be precise. Think about it - did Sharon and Begin want this plan? Who else could have forced their hand?
