I have a good friend who's son came home from school and couldn't remember exactly how you entered the numbers in a calculator to get the square root. My friend showed him and then taught him how to do it with a pencil and paper. The lad was in a classroom of 30 students but there were 5 teacher's helper's so figure a 5 to one ratio. The gist is that the kid blabbed how he could do square roots with a pencil and paper and his dad got called in and threatened for teaching his kid. Now to me that is bullshit.
