OK thanks...got it. Your state Governors would equate to our provincial Premiers . (Your President to our Prime Minister) It is an interesting governmental system. On the surface it appears rather a complicated approach but seems to assure more co-operation within the parties as compared to our parliamentary system. I believe our system is more confrontational and winner takes all. Problems arise here when clear majorities aren't elected. Ineffectual government results. When clear majorities are elected then dictatorship to some extent ensues for 4 years. Thanks all. C
